Forrest Galante is a person synonymous with nature conservation, wilderness survival and wildlife expertise. Growing up in Harare, Zimbabwe, Forrest harvested a life-long love of nature that put him on his path in life. After political unrest forced his family to move back to California, Forrest's love with nature grew.
Forrest Galante has caught anacondas, swam with several species of sharks, photographed venomous reptiles, outsmarted a charging water buffalo, dodged an angry panther and had countless other adventures. He pursued a career in high-risk wildlife biology fieldwork, always focusing on animals staring down extinction. His hands-on approach to wildlife, love for nature and extraordinary background has led to the development of his own television program, 'Extinct or Alive,' on Animal Planet. The show shadows Forrest as he travels the world looking for animals he believes have incorrectly been deemed extinct.
